Prof. A.N. Parameswaran is a Civil Engineer (Structural) with more than three decades of experience as a faculty and an administrator in the field technical education in India.

Presently as the Director (IIC), he is responsible for synergizing Institute–Industry Collaboration with Alumni Relations, Faculty Development and Teaching–Learning Process.

Previously, Prof. A.N. Parameswaran has served as Dean of Industry–Institute Interaction Cell (IIIC) and Alumni Relations of SRM University, Chennai. He was responsible for preparing a blueprint and strategy to implement various types & levels of interactions with industries and to implement various types of alumni engagements in accordance with university’s overall mission. He has generated revenue about Rs. 3.5 Crores through various industrial activities such as training, continuing education, consultancy and research, and instrumental in signing 50 numbers of MoUs & Agreements with several organizations in India & Abroad in different fields and sectors.

On deputation, Prof. A.N. Parameswaran has served in the national level as Project Officer in Continuing Education Program for working professionals under All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE) at Bangalore. He was responsible for preparing a blueprint for the project and strategy for implementation, published about 50 learning materials in different specialization and established centers for continuing education by involving experts from reputed technical institutions and industries.

He has taught various subjects and guided projects to the students of graduate and diploma programs. He has co-authored a book on “Engineering Mechanics” for the graduate engineering students. He has published 12 research papers, delivered more than 30 keynote speeches in Structural Engineering, Engineering Education, Industry–Institute Collaboration and in various sectors in India, and wrote many articles in the construction technology magazines.

He is a recipient of U.P. Government National Award for the outstanding work done in specified areas of engineering and technology in the area of interaction with industry, Best Administrator Award by the Society for Educational and Entrepreneurship Development at IIT Madras and Distinguished Alumni Award from the Institution of Engineers (India), Kolkata.

He was an Advisory Committee Member of ISTE-SRM International Journals. He was the Editor for “The Indian Journal of Technical Education” sponsored by AICTE and published by ISTE. He was one of the Research Paper Reviewer for 17th International Conference on Interactive Collaborative Learning during 2014 World Engineering Education Forum, Dubai.

He is a member in Academic Council of SRM University and in various Boards, Councils and Committees of the institutions & universities and in many professional bodies in India and abroad.
