Computer Science & Engineering

M.Tech program in Computer Science & Engineering was started in the academic year 2003-04. Total student intake for the program is 25. Some of the subjects that will be studied during the first two semesters are Machine Learning, Multi core Architecture and Parallel Programming, Design Thinking,Advanced Databases, Cloud Computing, Big Data and Data analytics. Few subjects are totally designed and handled by Industry experts. Electives are designed under different groups and are targeted tocater for the emerging trends in Computer Science and aligned with the industry needs. The students,during their 2nd year will get an opportunity to carry out their internship in industries with which an academic association has been established. Thus there will be enhanced placement opportunities in niche areas. Research focused inputs are also provided during the program so that students can even get into further research specific studies. Students are also having an option to carry out their research based project under the supervision of an experienced faculty. There are provisions to enhance the technical skills by taking the Audit courses and interdisciplinary skills by opting for Open elective courses.

  • PO1 : An ability to independently carry out research /investigation and development work to solve practical problems.

  • PO3 : Students should be able to demonstrate a degree of mastery over the area as per the specialization of the program. (The mastery should be at a level higher than the requirements in the appropriate bachelor program)

  • PSO2 : An understanding of the modern tools, technologies, and architecture of computation to carry out research to design and improve the solution for any computational problems.

During 2022-23 students have been placed the companies like Dell, Ingersoll Rand, Continental Automotive Components, Textron India Private limited, Robert Bosch BGSW

M.Tech graduates can find opportunities as Scientist, Consultant, Professor, Research Expert, Technical Analyst, Software Engineer. They can serve in Engineering, Academic Institutions, Research Institutions, Sales and Marketing Firms, IT/Software Companies.
