Electric Vehicle Technology

M.Tech in Electric Vehicle Technology program was started in the academic year 2022-2023. The program gives an opportunity for the students to learn the different aspects of electric vehicle design and its technology. A few courses offered during the first two semesters are Electric and Hybrid Vehicles, Vehicle Dynamics, Power Electronic Converters, EV Motor drives and control and Research experience through practice. The laboratory courses are also introduced to provide the students hands-on experience with the concepts of Electric Vehicle Technology. A few courses were designed by the faculty members in discussion with the industry experts. They will be taught by the industry experts themselves. During their second year, the students will get an opportunity to complete their internship in reputed companies. The department has industry collaborations with the major players in the field of power electronics, EV and Automotive like Microchip Technology Inc., Hexmoto Controls Pvt. Ltd. Autoven Pvt. Ltd, CogVision and L&T Technology Services. Thus, there will be enhanced placement opportunity for the students in the said organizations. Research focussed input is also given during the program so that they can pursue research after their post graduation, if interested.
