The Institution of Engineers (India), is the national organization of engineers in India. The Institution of Engineers (India) has more than one million members in 15 engineering disciplines in 114 centers or chapters in India and overseas; it is the world's largest multi-disciplinary engineering professional society in engineering and technology world. The Institution of Engineers (India) was established in 1920 in Kolkata, West Bengal and is acclaimed to have pioneered non-formal education in engineering. The Institution of Engineers (India) conducts an examination of its associate membership. This examination is considered to be on par with B.E. / B.Tech. When contemplated as an eligibility qualification to write competitive examinations like the Indian Civil Service, Indian Engineering Services, GATE, etc., and for employment in Government, public and private sectors in India. This qualification is recognized by the Ministry of HRD, government of India, as equivalent to B.E./B.Tech. The Institution of Engineers (India) was incorporated by Royal Charter in 1935. It is currently headquartered in 8 Gokhale Road, Kolkata. Our college has Institution of Engineers (India) student’s chapter for all the branches. About 1500 student members are there in this chapter. This chapter has been conducting branch level, Institution level and intercollegiate level technical programs.
Condition Monitoring Society of India (CMSI) was established in 2003 by a team of scientists, academicians, engineers and maintenance practitioners. The society functions with the noble aim of furthering the implementation of condition monitoring methodologies in Indian Industry. Condition Monitoring Society of India (CMSI) NMAMIT- student chapter started in 2014 under the guidance of Dr. Srinivasa Pai and the then HOD Dr. Subrahmanya Bhat K. The Post graduate students from Machine Design and Under Graduate students of Mechanical Engineering are the members of this chapter for the year. Under CMSI NMAMIT - Student chapter we is to conduct Industrial visit to various nearby industries and conduct technical talk for students by various industry experts and Professors from various institute who is working in this filed there by giving an exposure to the students in recent developments in Condition Monitoring.
