1. College Throwball women team won Runner up Trophy in the VTU Mangaluru Zone women tournament conducted by St. Joseph College of Engg., Mangaluru on 6 June 2022 and participated in the VTU Inter Zone women Throwball competition organized by KIT, Tiptur from 9 to 10 June 2022.

2.College Kho Kho team won IV place in the VTU Mangaluru Zone Kho Kho men competition conducted at Yenepoya Inst.of Technology, Mijar, on 17 June 2022.

3. College Handball men team won Championship Trophy in the VTU Inter Collegiate Mangaluru Zone Handball tournament organized by NMAMIT, Nitte on 18 June 2022 at B. C Alva Sports Complex Handball Court, Nitte and II Runner up Trophy in the VTU Inter Zone Handball men competition organized by MIT, Mysuru from 25 to 26 June 2022.

4.College Athletic team won Runner up Trophy in March past and also secured over all II Runner Up Trophy in the VTU Athletics Championship 2022 held at SJCIT, Chikkballpura, from 27 to 30 June 2022

5.College Chess women team were the Championship and men team won Runner up Trophy in the VTU Rest of Bengaluru Zone Chess tournament & Men team won Runner up Trophy and women team won III place in the VTU Inter Zone Chess competitions organized by SJMIT, Chitradugra from 22 to 26 June 2022

1. VTU Inter Collegiate Mangaluru Zone Handball men tournament was organized by NMAMIT, Nitte on 18 June 2022 at B. C Alva Sports Complex, Handball Court. The tournament was inaugurated by Sri. Sambram S Rao, Former National Hand Ball Player and Alumni, NMAMIT. Dr. Ramesh I Mithanthaya, Vice Principal, NMAMIT and Mr. Shyam Sundar M, Sports Administrator I/C present during the occasion. In valedictory function Sri. Nithin, Vice Captain, Indian Net Ball men team & Ekalavya awardee, Mr. Siddu R and Mr. Saddam A, National Handball Referees were distributed the individual prizes and trophies to the winners & runners.

2. Visvesvaraya Technological University Inter Collegiate Mangaluru Division men and women Badminton tournaments conducted by NMAMIT, Nitte on 4 November 2022 successfully. Total 09 men teams & 08 women teams took participated in the tournaments under Mangaluru Division colleges affiliated to VTU.

The tournament was inaugurated by Prof. A Yogeesh Hegde, Director (CM &D), Nitte off Campus Centre, Nitte. Mr. John D’Silva, Chairman, John’s Sports & Cultural Academy, Karkala and Mr. Shyam Sundar M, Sports Administrator I/C were present during the occasion.

4. B.C. Alva Memorial Leather Ball Cricket tournament was conducted by NMAM Institute of Technology, Nitte from 2 to 22 December 2022 at B.C. Alva Sports complex Cricket ground successfully. Total 14 men teams took participated in the tournament.

7. The 37th College Annual Sports Day was conducted on 14 March 2023 at B.C. Alva Sports Complex Athletics Ground, Nitte. Sri. Gunapala J, Ex Athlete, NMAMIT & Police Sub Inspector, Mescom Vigilance Police Station, Mangaluru was the chief guest and inaugurated the meet. Dr. Ramesh I Mithanthaya, Vice Principal & Dean Academic was presided over the function. Sri. Ashok Adyanthaya, Honorary President, Udupi District Amateur Athletic Association, Prof. A. Yogeesh Hegde, Director (CM & D), Nitte Off Campus Centre, Dr. Srinivas B Rao, Vice Principal & COE and Sri. Shyam Sundar M, Sports Administrator I/C present during the occasion.

In student’s athletic events, Mr. Manoj Binnal, VI Sem, Information Science has secured best Athlete in men section & Ms. Siona Rodrigous, 1st year, Chemistry cycle has secured best Athlete in women section. Athletic and recreation events also conducted to the staff members during the sports meet.

In the March Past competition, Post Graduates, Ist year Physics Cycle & AI & ML secured the cash award with I Place, II Place & III Place respectively and the staff team awarded with consolation prize.

8. VTU Mangaluru Division Cricket men tournament was conducted by NMAM Institute of Technology, Nitte from 14 to 19 March 2023 successively. The tournament was inaugurated by Sri Sadananda Shirva, Ex. Senior Manager, Karnataka Bank Ltd., Total 14 teams participated in the tournament affiliated to VTU Mangaluru Division.

In the prize distribution function, Dr. K. B. Vijaya Kumar, Red. Professor, Mangalore University & Adjunct Professor, NMAMIT, Nitte and Dr. Fazlu. Rehaman, Principal, AITM, Bhatkal distributed the trophies to winner and runner up teams.

Alva Memorial Indoor Stadium, Nitte. 14 sports event competitions were conducted for the students of NMAMIT & the tournament was inaugurated by Sri. Eswar Prasad, Asst. Professor, Nitte Institute of Physiotherapy, Mangaluru with presence of Mr. Shyam Sundar M, Sports Administrator Incharge.

  • 1. VTU Chess and Nitte (Deemed to be University) women’s team coaching camp (towards its participation in South Zone Inter University competition) was held at NMAMIT, Nitte on 5 & 6 December 2022.
  • 2. VTU Athletics Coaching camp both men & women towards its participation in South West Zone Inter University Athletic Championship was held at B.C. Alva Sports Complex Athletics ground from 4th to 9th December 2022.
  • 3. VTU Mangaluru Division Men Cricket Selections was conducted by NMAM Institute of Technology, Nitte, Karkala on 4 February 2023.
  • 4. VTU Chess men team coaching camp towards its participation in South Zone Inter University competitions was held at NMAMIT, Nitte from 5 to 8 March 2023.

NMAMIT Badminton women team were the Championships in the Visvesvaraya Technological University Inter Collegiate Mangaluru Zone competition conducted by NMAMIT, Nitte on 16 November 2021.The team also participated in VTU Inter Zone competition held at VV College of Engg., Mysuru from 19 to 20 November 2021.

The Team also secured II Runner up Trophy in VTU Inter Zone competition held at VVC of Engg., Mysuru from 19 to 20 November 2021.

1. Visvesvaraya Technological University Inter Collegiate Mangaluru Zone men and women Badminton tournaments were conducted by NMAMIT, Nitte on 16 November 2021. Total 10 men Teams & 08 women Teams participated in the tournaments under Mangaluru Zone colleges affiliated to VTU.

8. College Volleyball women’s team were the champions in VTU Inter Collegiate Rest of Bengaluru Zone Volleyball tournament held at JNNCE, Shivamogga on 12 March 2020 and qualified to participate in VTU Inter Zone tournaments KIT, Tipturthrough 14 - 15 March 2020. Due to Covid 19, the tournament was postponed.

VTU Power Lifting Men & Women teams’ coaching camp for its participation in All India Inter University competitions was conducted by NMAMIT through 15 – 20 January for women & 21 - 25 January 2020 for men at B.C. Alva memorial Indoor Stadium. 10 Power Lifters including 6 boys & 4 girls participated in the camp. The All India Inter University women competitions wereconducted at Mumbai University through 23 - 25 January 2020 and for men was held in same venue through 27 - 30 January 2020.

2. Nitte Khelostav 2020, an Inter Branch Games Competitions conducted through 9 – 11 January and the competition was inaugurated by Mr. Rajesh Acharya, Cricket Coach, Karavali Cricket Academy, Mangaluru at B. C Alva Sports Complex, Cricket Ground, Nitte. Dr. I Ramesh Mithanthaya, Vice Principal, NMAMIT presided over the function. Total 14 sports events conducted for the students of NMAMIT.

Dr. C Vaman Rao, Professor and HoD, Department of Biotechnology presented the prizes and trophies to the winners of Nitte Khelostav 2020 on 10 February 2020.Dr. Nirnjan N Chiplunkar, Principal, Dr. B Srinivas Rao, CoE and Vice Principal, NMAMIT and Mr. Shyam Sundar M, Sports Administrator, NET graced the occasion. Department of Mechanical Engineering secured the overall Championship in the Inter Branch Games competition in the Khelostav 2020.

    1. Nitte Kreedotsava, an Inter-Collegiate sports and games competitions, conducted on 25 & 26 January 2019 at B.C. Alva Memorial Basket Ball court, Nitte. The tournament was inaugurated by Dr. Sankaran K., Director, Justice K.S. Hegde Institute of Management, Nitte with the presence of Dr. Niranjan N. Chiplunkar, Principal, NMAMIT, Dr. Murali Krishna V., Professor, Dept. of Anaesthesiology, KSHEMA and Sports Advisor, Nitte University (Deemed to University) and Mr. Shyam Sundar M., Sports Administrator, NET. Sri. Aravind Hegde, Special Officer, NMAMIT presided over the function.

    2. 33rd College Annual Sports Day 2019 was conducted on 30 January 2019 at B.C. Alva Sports Complex Athletics Field, Nitte. The meet was inaugurated by Dr. Sudeer Raj K., Professor, Justice K.S. Hegde Institute of Management, Nitte with the presence of Dr. Niranjan N. Chiplunkar, Principal, Prof. Yogeesh Hegde, Registrar, NET, Dr. I.R. Mithanthaya, Vice Principal & Dean Academics, Dr. Srinivas B. Rao, and Vice Principal & CoE. More than 3,500 staff & students participated in the march Past which was conducted before the inauguration. Mr. Mohammed Ali, IV Sem, Civil and Ms. Jyothi, IV Sem, MBA secured the individual championship in men & women section respectively.
    Department of Electronics and Communication emerged the Overall Championship in inter branch game competitions 2019.

    3. VTU Inter Collegiate Rest of Bengaluru Zone and Inter Zone Volley Ball women tournaments were conducted from 17 to 19 March 2019 in Volley Ball courts near B.C. Alva Memorial indoor stadium, Nitte. The tournament was inaugurated by Mrs. Radha Prabhu, Principal, DR. NSAM English Medium High School, Nitte. Dr. Niranjan N. Chiplunkar, Principal, NMAMIT presided over the function. Total 12 women teams for Rest of Bengaluru Zone and 7 teams for Inter Zone affiliated to VTU took participated in the tournament.

    In the Closing function , Sri. Vishwanath, Asst. Professor, Dept. of Humanities and Sri. Roshan Fernendes, Asst. Professor, Dept. of Computer Science distributed the trophies and certificates to the winners and runners of VTU Rest of Bengaluru Zone Volley Ball Women tournament,

    4. VTU Inter Collegiate Mangaluru Zone Foot Ball Men tournament was conducted by the Department of Physical Education, NMAMIT on 21 & 22 March 2019 at B.C. Alva Sports Complex Foot ball Field, Nitte. The tournament was inaugurated by Sri. Shekar Poojari, Student Welfare Officer, NMAMIT, Dr. Niranjan N. Chiplunkar, Principal, NMAMIT presided over the function. 17 Foot Ball teams affiliated to VTU Mangaluru Zone participated in the tournament.

    In the Closing function, Dr. Srinath Shetty, Resident Engineer, NET and Professor, Departement of Civil Engineering presented the trophies and certificates to the winners and runners of VTU Mangaluru Zone.

    5. VTU Mangaluru Zone Hockey Men tournament was conducted by Department of Physical Education and Sports on 11 & 12 April 2019. The tournament was inaugurated by Dr. Sudesh Bekal, Dean, Research and Development, NMAMIT. 7 teams participated in the 2-day competition.

    6. B.C. ALVA MEMORIAL TROPHY 2019, a state level inter collegiate leather Ball Staff Cricket tournament was conducted from 1 to 12 May 2019 at B.C. Alva complex, Nitte. A total of 11 teams participated in the tournament.

    7. Visvesvaraya Technological University Inter Collegiate Mangaluru Zone men and women Badminton tournaments conducted by NMAMIT, Nitte on 24 August 2019. Total 11 teams participated in the tournaments under Mangaluru Zone colleges affiliated to VTU.

    The tournament was inaugurated by Dr. Veena Devi Shastrimath V, President, Rotary Club Nitte & Professor in Department of Electronics & Communication Engineering, NMAMIT, Nitte .Dr. Niranjan N. Chiplunkar, Principal, NMAMIT, Nitte presided over the function. Prof. A Yogeesh Hegde, Registrar, Nitte Education Trust, Mr. Krishnaraja Joisa, PRO, Mr. Shyam Sundar M, Sports Administrator I/C were present during the occasion.

    NMAMIT both men & women teams secured Championship Trophies in the tournament. In the closing function Dr. Shashikanth Karinka, Prof.& HoD, Department of Mechanical Engineering , NMAMIT, Nitte and Mr. Muralidhara Sharma, Ex.     8. Visvesvaraya Technological University Inter Collegiate Mangaluru Zone men Basketball tournament was conducted by NMAMIT, Nitte on 17 September 2019 successfully.

    The tournament was inaugurated by Prof. S. Gopinath, Advisor, NMAMIT, Nitte at 9.30 AM. Dr. Niranjan N. Chiplunkar, Principal, NMAMIT, Nitte presided over the function.

    NMAMIT men team secured Championship and MITE, Moodabidri secured Runner Up in the tournament. In the closing function Mr. Shyam Sundar M, Sports Administrator, NET & Mr. Ravi Prakash C Anpur, Basketball Coach, NET distributed the Trophies and Certificates to the winners and runners.

    9. VTU Cross Country Men & Women teams coaching camp for its participation in All India Inter University competitions was organized by NMAMIT from 29 September to 4 October 2019 & 4 to 7 October 2019 respectively at B.C. Alva Sports Complex Athletics Field. 12 Cross Country Runners including 6 boys & 6 girls participated in the camp. The All India Inter University men competition was conducted at Mangaluru University at Alva’s Education Foundation, Moodabidri on 5 & 6 October 2019 & women’s competition was held at Andra University, Vishakpattnam on 10 October 2019.

    10. Visvesvaraya Technological University Inter Collegiate Single Zone Power Lifting men and women competitions conducted by NMAMIT, Nitte on 30 & 31 October 2019. A Total of 107 men and 46 women participants participated in the competitions.

    The competition was inaugurated by Sri Sathish Kumar Kudroli, Ekalavya Awardee,Secretary, Power Lifting India.Dr. Niranjan N. Chiplunkar, Principal, NMAMIT, Nitte presided over the function. Prof. A Yogeesh Hegde, Registrar, Nitte Education Trust , Nitte, Sri Shyam Sundar M., Sports Administrator, NET, Sri. Sharavanan, Regional Director, Bangaluru South were present during the occasion.
