The academic and financial benefits begotten by the college because of the collaborations vary from company to company. The following is the elaboration on the academic and financial benefits firm- wise for various departments:

Computer Science
Company/ Collaborator: Intel
The college has conducted intercollegiate 1-day workshop on IOT project using Intel GalilioBoard in Jan, 2015. 50 participants from Institution in and around the district participated. This has provided visibility and recognition to Intel activities in the college.

Following are the financial benefits from the collaborations:
Establishment of Embedded systems lab with emphasis on ATOM family of processors (received Rs 2 lakhs + 10 ATOM kits) Extension of Intel Embedded systems initiative (received Rs 1.45 lakhs) Extension of Intel Embedded systems initiative (received 40 Arduino boards)

Following are the academic benefits:
Introduction of Audit course on Internet of Things (currently 50 students are undergoing this course). This has helped students to learn beyond syllabus. The students are given course certificate and they were made to work on a project. Final year UG projects are carried out based on embedded systems and IoT applications. Students can participate in National and International exhibition organized by Intel. Two staff and students are deputed for two days workshop organized by Intel and IISc, Bangalore.

An open elective designed by the firm entitled “Essentials of Information technology” has been offered for 8th sem non-IT students.
A core subject designed by the firm entitled “Business Intelligence & its applications” has been offered for 7th sem CSE students.

The company has provided training to the faculty on the IBM subjects offered to students SPSS and Cognos BI software are offered by IBM used in the laboratory work of IBM subjects for data analysis IBM academic initiative portal login is enabled where staff can download software. iCOS/iTrack portal login is enabled where students can download learning materials and sample questions.

MBA Department
MBA department has academic collaboration with many reputed Universities such as University of Pennsylvania, Ritsumeikan University, Japan, Erasmus University, MUBS, Uganda, and University of Pennsylvania, USA. These collaborations have helped the Institute to get visibility and promote academic activities. International conferences have been organized in collaboration with the above Universities, in the last 8-10 years.

∗ Curriculum development
Infosys and Robosoft offered a course for Computer science students. SPAN infotech introduced an elective “Essentials of Information Technology”, for 8th sem students placed in SPAN. The course was framed by SPAN.

IBM has introduced many core and electives subjects for all semesters of computer Science branch.

Mechanical Engineering students study electives ((i) Introduction to Aircraft design. (ii) Design of Aircraft Structures) designed by Infosys.

∗ Internship, On-the-job training
Hexmoto has provided Internship for two M.Tech students Large number MCA students have been exposed to the live projects offered by the many companies with whom the college has collaboration. Some of the MCA students get 6 months training during their 6th semester project development. MoU with Institute of Plastic Engg. & Technology, Mysor, has provided. Opportunities for the student of Mechanical Engg. to learn about plastic technologies (2 week training is provided) – 4 students participated.

∗ Faculty exchange and Development
Two staff and students were deputed for two days workshop organized by Intel and IISc, Bangalore. Faculty members were provided with training by IBM to handle classes on IBM subjects.

∗ Research, Publication
Interaction with NVIDIA has resulted in 10 research Publications in the department of Computer Science Mr. Surayanarayana of E&E dept produced a publication in collaboration with Hexmoto

∗ Consultancy, Extension
Following activation have been carried out: Solar Battery Charger design for Hex Moto controls Ltd. Mysore High frequency inverter for Hex Moto Controls Ltd. Mysore Solar Inverter for Digital Circuits, Bangalore Adequacy of foundation of a building for an additional floor- APMC, Karkala Design of Passenger Jetty near St. Mary’s Island.
